ElderSuite Client Center Overview

The Client Center is where every client screen in ElderSuite starts. Learn what its buttons and Related Activities links open and how the missing-times banner helps.

📝 Overview

The Client Center is the starting point for everything your center does with its clients. From one screen you can open the client list, attendance and transportation records, tasks, and client assessments, and keep the supporting lists a client record depends on up to date.

ElderSuite serves adult day care centers nationwide.

The Client Center has no data-entry fields of its own. Each screen it opens appears as its own window inside the ElderSuite main window, so when you close that window you come back to the Client Center right where you left it. If a screen is already open, ElderSuite brings it to the front instead of opening a second copy.

⚙ How It Works

1. Open the Client Center

Click Client Center on the ElderSuite main menu. No separate permission is needed to open it.

2. Use the Client Activity Buttons

Large picture buttons open the client screens:

3. Keep Supporting Lists Current in Related Activities

The Related Activities section starts a new client record and opens the lists that client records choose from:

If a client record is already open when you click Add New Client, ElderSuite brings that record to the front and closes it instead of starting a new one. Click Add New Client again to begin the new record.

4. Review Days With Missing Times

When days in the last 90 days, before today, have attendance times that do not make a whole day, a banner appears across the top of the Client Center showing how many days are affected. Those days earn no units until their times are whole, so the banner is your chance to fix them before the month is billed.

Click Review Days to open Missing Times and correct the days. Dismissing the banner hides it until ElderSuite is next started.

5. Check Permissions When Something Is Grayed Out

Permission checks on the Client Center apply only to users at the Limited Access level. At any other access level, every button and link stays enabled.

For Limited Access users, most buttons and links need their own permission on the employee record. For example, Social History Assessments needs the Edit Social History Assessments permission, and Manage Physicians, Manage Pharmacies and Manage Hospitals each need their Client Center permission. Manage ISS Service Logs uses the same Edit Attendance & Transportation Records permission as Attendance & Transportation Records; there is no separate ISS permission. Client List, Manage Tasks and Review Days are always available.

Ask an administrator to grant the permission in the Provider Center (How to Add Employees and Set Permissions in ElderSuite). It takes effect within five minutes on the next screen you open, or right away after signing out and back in. A Client Center that is already open keeps its buttons until you close and reopen it.

✅ Important Limitations

The Client Center saves nothing itself. All client work is entered and saved on the screens it opens.

Permissions for Manage Physicians, Manage Pharmacies and Manage Hospitals are set separately for the Client Center and the Nursing Center. A user can have access from one Center and not the other. See the ElderSuite Nursing Center Overview.

If you dismiss the missing-times banner, you can still reach Missing Times from Attendance & Transportation Records.
