📝 Overview

The Report Center is where ElderSuite reports and printable forms are started. Open it from the Report Center item on the ElderSuite main menu, choose the kind of report you need, and open it from there.

ElderSuite serves adult day care centers nationwide.

Reports are grouped on four tabs: Provider Reports, Client Reports, Nursing Reports, and Nutrition Reports. Each tab has a Report List with a View Report button and a Report Description section that explains the highlighted report, so you can confirm you have the right one before you open it. An Ask Eddie panel runs down the right-hand side.

The Report Center itself is a starting point. It opens the window that produces the report, and that window is where you pick the record or the client and dates, and where you preview and print.

⚙ How It Works

1. Open the Report Center

Sign in, then click Report Center on the ElderSuite main menu. The window opens inside the main ElderSuite window with the Provider Reports tab showing and no report highlighted. If the Report Center is already open, ElderSuite brings it to the front instead of opening a second copy.

A Full Access user always has the Report Center available. A Limited Access user needs the Reports Center permission on their employee record in the Provider Center. To grant permissions, see How to Add Employees and Set Permissions in ElderSuite.

2. Choose the Report Tab

The tab headers run down the left-hand side of the window rather than across the top. Click the tab for the kind of report you need:

  • Provider Reports — center-level reporting, including the monthly fire drill report. See How to Record a Monthly Fire Drill in ElderSuite.
  • Client Reports — reports and forms such as the client roster, attendance calendar, attendance summary, client absence report, birthday list, and client assessments. For attendance and absence reporting, see How to Print Attendance and Absence Reports in ElderSuite.
  • Nursing Reports — nursing records such as the diagnosis profile, physician's orders and standing orders, medication and treatment administration records, the medication profile, nursing assessments, and nursing notes.
  • Nutrition Reports — meal program records such as the claim for reimbursement and its worksheet, the letter of determination, and the meal application.

Each tab keeps its own highlighted report and its own description, so switching tabs does not clear your place on the others.

3. Highlight a Report and Read Its Description

Click a report in the Report List. The Report Description section beneath the list shows a short explanation of what that report is for. Until a report is highlighted, it reads Select a report to view its description.

4. Click View Report or Double-Click the Report

Click View Report, or double-click the report in the list. Both do exactly the same thing.

Depending on the report, one of two things happens:

  • A list window opens inside the main ElderSuite window, where you pick the record you want.
  • A report window opens as a dialog, where you choose the client and dates before the report is produced.

If the window a report opens is already open, ElderSuite brings that window to the front, and whatever was already selected in it is still there.

5. Print from the Window That Opens

Preview and print the report from the window that opens, not from the Report Center. If a report or form does not print the way you expect, see Report or Form Not Printing Correctly or Completely in ElderSuite.

6. Ask Eddie from the Report Center

Click the Eddie picture or the Ask Eddie link in the panel on the right to open Ask Eddie inside ElderSuite. The Report Center stays open behind it.

✅ Important Limitations

The Report Center has no Print or Export button, and it does not create a file. Printing and any saved copy belong to the report window that opens from it.

View Report is always clickable, but it does nothing until a report is highlighted in the Report List. If nothing happens, click a report first.

While a report window that opened as a dialog is showing, the Report Center cannot be used until that dialog is closed.

Some reports open a window whose title is worded a little differently from the entry in the list. The form number is the reliable match.

The report lists are built into ElderSuite. Reports cannot be added, renamed, or reordered.

The Report Center has no Close button. Close it with the X on its title bar. The next time you open it, it starts fresh on the Provider Reports tab with no report highlighted.

For a Limited Access user, the Reports Center permission controls whether the Report Center can be opened. Once it is open, the Report Center does not limit which tabs, lists, or View Report buttons that user can use. A newly granted permission takes effect within five minutes, or at once after signing out and back in.

Billing reports are not in the Report Center. Open them from the Claim Center with View Reports. See How to View and Print Billing Reports in ElderSuite.

The report tabs, the report lists, and the Ask Eddie link are skipped by the Tab key. Use the mouse to work this window.
