📝 Overview

The Nutrition Center is ElderSuite's hub for meal work. Open it from the Nutrition Center button on the main menu. The hub itself has nothing to fill in and saves nothing—every entry is made on the windows it opens.

ElderSuite serves adult day care centers nationwide.

Four large buttons open the meal screens: Contractor Information, Manage Meal Times, Meal Applications, and Meal Records. When past days carry meals but no attendance times, a meals-without-attendance banner appears across the top with a count and a Review Days button. The Helpful Links panel holds a link to the center's own state food program website. The Ask Eddie panel opens Ask Eddie for help inside ElderSuite.

This page maps the hub. Detailed steps live on the linked Guides for each button and for the banner.

⚗ How It Works

1. Open the Nutrition Center

Sign in, then click Nutrition Center on the ElderSuite main menu. The window opens as a child inside the main window.

A Full Access user always has the Nutrition Center button enabled. A Limited Access user needs the Nutrition Center permission on the employee record in the Provider Center before that main-menu button is available.

2. Use the Four Large Buttons

The activities panel holds four large picture buttons:

If the window a button opens is already open, ElderSuite brings that window forward instead of opening a second copy.

3. Review the Meals Without Attendance Banner

When the database reports past days that carry meals but no attendance times, a pale gold banner appears across the top of the Nutrition Center. It shows how many days need review and includes a Review Days button.

The count looks back 90 days and never includes today. Click Review Days to open Meals Without Attendance, where missing times are entered or meals are removed. Full steps are in How to Review Meals Without Attendance in ElderSuite.

After those days are settled, the banner refreshes with the new count and goes away once nothing remains.

4. Open the State Food Program Link

The Helpful Links panel holds one link named for the center's own state food program. Click it to open that state's food program website in the computer's default web browser.

The wording comes from the center's account. ElderSuite does not ask you to pick a state on this panel.

5. Ask Eddie from the Hub

The Ask Eddie panel sits on the Nutrition Center. Click the Eddie picture or the Ask Eddie link to open Ask Eddie inside ElderSuite.

✅ Important Limitations

The Nutrition Center itself has nothing to fill in and saves nothing. Typing happens on the windows the hub opens.

For a Limited Access sign-in, each of the four large buttons is separately enabled from the matching permission on the employee record in the Provider Center: Contractor Information, Manage Meal Times, Edit Meal Applications, and Edit Meal Records. A Full Access user always has all four buttons available. A grayed-out button means that permission is not granted. Permission changes take effect when the Nutrition Center is opened again after the permission is saved, or at once after signing out and back in.

The meals-without-attendance banner never includes today, and it does not look further back than 90 days. The times are not entered on the Nutrition Center—only the count and Review Days appear here.

When the center's state is not among the states ElderSuite holds a food-program website for, the Helpful Links wording stays State Nutrition Portal, and clicking it shows a Help Improve ElderSuite message instead of opening a website.

The four large buttons and the Ask Eddie link are meant to be clicked with the mouse; they are skipped in the tab order.
