📝 Overview
Your ElderSuite Account Number is the permanent number your ElderSuite account is registered under. You need it to set up ElderSuite on a second or replacement computer, and you may be asked for it for support or billing. It is created once, when the account is set up, and it never changes.
When you are signed in, the number is on Provider Information in the Provider Center, in the field labeled ElderSuite Account ID. If you cannot sign in, the Setup Wizard can email the number to an address already on file for your account.
The Setup Wizard also shows a new account’s number once, on the New Account Setup ID step, and asks you to write it down. After that, Provider Information is the place to look.
⚙ How It Works
1. Open Provider Information
Sign in to ElderSuite, open Provider Center, and click Provider Information. For a tour of the other Provider Center buttons, see ElderSuite Provider Center Overview.
If the Provider Information button is grayed out, you are signed in with Limited Access and do not have the Provider Information permission. That permission has to be granted on your employee record. Trying again will not change it.
2. Read the ElderSuite Account ID Field
Your account number is in the field labeled ElderSuite Account ID, with the Contact Information details on the Provider Information tab. The screen calls it an Account ID, but it is the same number as your ElderSuite Account Number and the Account No. the Setup Wizard asks for.
Hover over the field to see its tooltip: Needed, with your own user name and password, to set up ElderSuite on another computer. It cannot be changed.
The same window also shows National Provider ID and State Provider ID. Those are the numbers your center is billed and reported under. They are not your ElderSuite Account Number. To keep the rest of this window current, see How to Update Provider Information in ElderSuite.
3. Copy the Number
The ElderSuite Account ID field is read-only, and the Tab key skips over it. Select the number and copy it, or read it off the screen. Reading or copying the number does not require Save & Close.
If someone without ElderSuite access needs the number, such as your accounting staff, a person who can sign in reads it here and passes it on.
4. Have the Number Emailed If You Cannot Sign In
On the provider selection panel of the ElderSuite main window, click Authorize Device. The Setup Wizard opens on the Existing Account Setup step. Click Forgot your Account No.?
In the Forgot Your Account Number? window, type your facility’s email address on file for your ElderSuite account. If you may authorize devices and your email address has been verified on your employee record, you can type your own address instead. Click Email My Account Number.
When the status strip below the email address turns green, click Close and check that mailbox for an email titled Your ElderSuite Account Number. Type the number on the Existing Account Setup step by hand. Nothing is filled in automatically. To finish setting up the computer, see How to Use the Setup Wizard in ElderSuite.
If the same email address is on file for more than one facility, one email arrives listing every matching account number with each facility’s name beside it.
If you cannot open either mailbox, ask your account administrator for the account number.
✅ Important Limitations
The account number is permanent. It cannot be chosen, changed, or typed into Provider Information.
The read-only ElderSuite Account ID field is normal for every account. It does not mean you are missing a permission.
Provider Information does not hold the account user name and password. Those are on the account administrator’s employee record. See What Happens When You Change Your Account Username or Password in ElderSuite.
Forgot your Account No.? only finds the number. It does not reset a user name or password. The Forgot your user name or password? link on the same wizard step is a separate reset.
The number is emailed only to an address already on file for the account: the facility’s email or the verified email of an active employee who may authorize devices. Typing any other address sends the number nowhere.
The Forgot Your Account Number? window does not tell you whether the address matched. The status strip turns green either way, so the arriving email is your confirmation. If nothing arrives, try the address your facility used when the ElderSuite account was set up, or your own verified address if you may authorize devices.
If the status strip turns dark orange, nothing was sent. Wait a while and try again.
The Forgot Your Account Number? window is reached only through the Setup Wizard. No Center opens it.
If Provider Information shows an ElderSuite Account Settings tab, you are on an older version of ElderSuite, and the number is in the Account No. field on that tab. To check your version, see How to Open About ElderSuite.
⚠ The Account Number Is Not on Invoices
Your ElderSuite Account Number is not printed on billing statements or invoices. Billing in ElderSuite happens in the Claim Center, and the account number is not shown there either. Use Provider Information instead.
