Updated October 1, 2026 — TMHP has a weekend-long maintenance outage starting Friday, October 2. The Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) will take its systems down from 7 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026, to 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2026, Central time.

What changed
On September 30, TMHP posted a reminder: “The Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) has scheduled a system maintenance outage from 7:00 p.m., Central time, on Friday, October 2, 2026, to 11:59 p.m., Central time, on Sunday, October 4, 2026.” TMHP first announced this window in June, as one of several Friday-to-Sunday outages in July, August, and October 2026.
TMHP also states: “During a scheduled system maintenance outage, all web-based applications and functions are unavailable.”
This outage does not appear on TMHP’s Monthly System Maintenance Schedule, which is why earlier versions of this page did not list it.
Who it affects
Texas providers who use TMHP web-based applications and functions, and centers that submit Texas Medicaid claims to TMHP.
What to do
Plan TMHP claim submissions for before 7 p.m. on Friday, October 2, or after 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, Central time.
Centers that submit Texas Medicaid claims to TMHP from ElderSuite’s adult day care billing software should process those claims and download TMHP reports outside the outage window. If ElderSuite reports that it could not connect to TMHP during the window, wait until the outage ends and process the claims again.
Do not send TMHP claims through Availity instead. Availity does not connect to Texas Medicaid fee-for-service, so it is not a workaround when TMHP is unavailable.
Upcoming TMHP outages
After October 4, TMHP’s Monthly System Maintenance Schedule lists these outages, all Central time:
- Saturday, October 24, 10 a.m., to Monday, October 26, 2026, 4 a.m. — another weekend-long outage
- Sunday, November 1, 2026, 12 a.m. to 4 a.m.
- Sunday, December 6, 2 p.m., to Monday, December 7, 2026, 4 a.m.
TMHP sometimes changes or adds outage dates. In September it cancelled its September 20 outage and moved another to September 27. Check TMHP’s news page as well as its schedule before planning around an outage.
