What TMHP’s Fiscal Year-End EFT Delay Means for Texas Providers

Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) will delay electronic funds transfer (EFT) payments that are normally distributed on Monday, September 7, 2026, by one business day. Providers receiving those EFT payments can expect funds by Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

The delay follows the 2026 fiscal year end on Monday, August 31, 2026. These dates are current as of TMHP’s last update on 8/25/2026.

What changed

TMHP posted that EFT payments normally distributed on Monday, September 7, 2026, will be delayed by one business day. That is a payment-calendar change for the EFT cycle TMHP named. The notice does not change how claims are submitted.

Who it affects

The notice is for providers receiving TMHP EFT payments. It is a Texas TMHP notice. It does not say every adult day care program is affected, and it does not apply to providers who are not paid by TMHP EFT.

When the delayed EFT lands

Monday, August 31, 2026, is the 2026 fiscal year end date. As a result, EFT payments normally distributed on Monday, September 7, 2026, will be delayed by one business day. Providers receiving EFT payments can expect funds by Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

What to do

Expect the later deposit. TMHP’s stated expectation is funds by Tuesday, September 8, 2026, for the EFT cycle that would normally have been distributed on Monday, September 7, 2026.
