What TMHP’s Fiscal Year-End EFT Delay Means for Texas Providers
TMHP delayed the EFT cycle normally paid Monday, September 7, 2026. Its August 25 fiscal-year-end notice said funds by September 8; its September 4 Labor Day notice now says Monday, September 14, 2026.

Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) will delay electronic funds transfer (EFT) payments that are normally distributed on Monday, September 7, 2026, by one business day. Providers receiving those EFT payments can expect funds by Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
The delay follows the 2026 fiscal year end on Monday, August 31, 2026. Those dates come from TMHP’s August 25, 2026 notice. Update: on September 4, 2026, TMHP posted a second notice for the same cycle that moves the expected date to Monday, September 14, 2026. See the update below.
Update, September 4, 2026: TMHP now says funds by Monday, September 14
TMHP posted a second notice on September 4, 2026, covering the same payment cycle. Because Monday, September 7, 2026, is Labor Day and a bank holiday, TMHP says EFT payments will be delayed by one business day, and that providers receiving EFT payments “can expect funds by Monday, September 14, 2026.”
That is later than the Tuesday, September 8 date in TMHP’s August 25 fiscal-year-end notice. Both notices are still posted, and TMHP has not explained the difference. Plan cash flow around the later date, September 14, and call the TMHP Contact Center at 800-925-9126 if you need a firm date for your payment.

What changed
TMHP posted that EFT payments normally distributed on Monday, September 7, 2026, will be delayed by one business day. That is a payment-calendar change for the EFT cycle TMHP named. The notice does not change how claims are submitted.
Who it affects
The notice is for providers receiving TMHP EFT payments. It is a Texas TMHP notice. It does not say every adult day care program is affected, and it does not apply to providers who are not paid by TMHP EFT.

When the delayed EFT lands
Monday, August 31, 2026, is the 2026 fiscal year end date. As a result, EFT payments normally distributed on Monday, September 7, 2026, will be delayed by one business day. TMHP’s August 25 notice said providers could expect funds by Tuesday, September 8, 2026; its September 4 notice now says Monday, September 14, 2026.
What to do
Expect the later deposit. TMHP’s most recent stated expectation is funds by Monday, September 14, 2026, for the EFT cycle that would normally have been distributed on Monday, September 7, 2026.
